The hotel was reasonably clean with perfectly fine and pleasant staff, it met requirements. The service was first-class and the location was great and lovely. The property was in a relaxing area.

The venue is in the heart of the town. Plus, it is set 2 km from Standing Stones. The units are newly remodelled, modern.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, so I will definitely visit place next time. The location was particularly good, to a stream of 1980's pop music, the garden was lovely.

The garden was lovely, excellent and absolutely perfect location close to Coast to Coast Trail. There were extremely comfy beds and central heating, coffee and tea making equipment, and TV in the suite.

Immaculately clean and well-maintained place, good breakfast with plenty of options. Incredible location so close to pretty well kept gardens, and Scafell Pike and other routes. Excellent food in the a la carte restaurant in the vicinity.

The location was excellent in pretty well kept gardens set back from the winding country road and the staff here was incredibly welcoming. Also, the hotel was set approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Watendlath Tarn.

We loved the friendly and helpful staff, from reception to the pub and restaurant. The convenience of having food and drink available in the same building was a plus. The location was perfect for our walking holiday, with easy access to the starting point for the Scafell Pike walk. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel had a lovely blend of traditional and modern decor. The breakfast was exceptional and the open fires and comfy sofas in the evening added to the cozy atmosphere.
We felt privileged throughout our stay and had no reason to complain.
